Impacted Teeth

The most common impacted tooth that needs to be aligned is the upper cuspid or eye tooth. It is frequently under the tissue in the roof of the mouth.

Dr. Fricke will use your braces to make space for this impacted tooth. Then a periodontist will expose the impacted tooth so that Dr. Fricke can place a brace on the tooth and bring it into the correct place. Dr. Fricke will let you know when it is time for the exposure. Generally, it is about 6 months into your treatment.
